Watch me paint this tree frog in about a minute (time lapse)
More about the tree frog in a few minutes…
As spring approached, I blogged that it was the season for seeing an elusive migratory bird called a painted bunting. That was just over a month ago. The bunting has since moved on and we aren’t likely to see him again until next year.
But the lizards are here to stay until it gets chilly again in the fall. I took a short video of this little guy, who looks a lot like the one I painted (see next video). Sorry he’s a bit out of focus. My camera apparently thought I wanted to film the grass. 😒 Watch his neck. He has a few cool dance moves.

About the tree frog…
We haven’t seen any yet. They should appear on a sultry evening, stuck fast to our patio glass. Only one at a time, just hanging out as if listening to our conversations. The season of frogs is coming soon.
This blog posts poses the question, “Are YOU in season?“
Do you feel as if you’re “back” from spiritual hibernation, or not quite yet? Have you already moved on to the next phase of your journey like the painted bunting, or staying a while where you are like the lizard, or have you not yet emerged, like the tree frog? At some point after a long winter, it is safe to come out. For every thing there is a season.
There’s no doubt that the world has experienced a “long winter” even if your winters and summers are different from mine here in the United States. Are we ready for a new season? How you define your winter is personal to you, but all of us have been affected by the long spiritual hibernation and harsh conditions we’ve endured.
We are divided about what those harsh conditions are, and who brought them about. Even the heavily marketed phrase “in it together” is divisive. Some see it for what it is: propaganda. When government/media messaging is coordinated and pushed with an agenda, without unbiased concrete proof that the claims are real, and is designed to steer thinking, responses, and/or action, it is indeed propaganda.
We can debate whether or not propaganda is right or wrong, but the fact that there is an organized campaign to push an agenda is undeniable. We can also debate the agenda. However, denying that there IS an agenda is not a healthy conversation at this point, as it seems destined for a poor outcome. If we want this to be a season of healing, we must let go of old unproductive patterns. We must see what “is”, and understand that our interpretation of it may never align, but we must insist that the parts of our experience that are as factually apparent as clearly as an Emperor who has no clothes on, be agreed upon by all but the biggest fools.
Beyond the obvious events we can plainly see, we may never agree about why things happened, or how they should have happened, or even how things should happen now. We can focus on what divides us, or on what unites us. We can also choose to remain rather neutral by not focusing on either end of the spectrum. We can choose to avoid any mindful analysis of the situation either way. But what we can’t do is opt out of the timeline in which we live.
However we see this oppressive and hostile timeline, no matter who we think is responsible for it, and no matter how we understand microbiology, technocracy, GMHs/hybrids/infusion/etc., reset/transition/build-back-better/globalism, or any of the other complex issues involving immune systems and manipulation thereof, regardless if occurring organically, steered, psychological-warfare-driven, or weaponized… the reality for us all is that we are impacted by it. We were forced into a spiritual season that we did not choose.
Have we yet emerged from that dark brutal winter? Are YOU in season, or still in spiritual hibernation? Is it time yet for you to feel the air under your wings like the beautiful bunting? Do you want to dance to life’s music like the lizard? Or are you like the tree frog… lying low somewhere, hidden, not ready yet?
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”
– Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV
Take your time, but don’t miss your season. Every life makes a difference. There is something missing when YOU are missing.
