Here’s the full show in the video below, and if you scroll down there are clips to view the painting only, and/or the music only. I hope you enjoy this year’s show. It’s quite a bit different from what I’ve done before. I decided to just be me, and invite you into my home and my life.
See my Easter 2026 oil painting come to life, inspired by one of my favorite Christian songs by MercyMe, “I Can Only Imagine” – which I sing and play on my guitar during the show. I’m a beginner guitar player, so this is a basic easy chords arrangement (see my previous and future blog posts if you want to follow my journey as I learn how to play the guitar). After the music and painting, I give you a tour of my garden.
All the plants were planted by me! Some from seeds, others from tiny starter plants, and a few were dug up from one location (like the roses that were growing under the foundation of the house when we moved here!), and then I transplanted them where they can thrive. This has taken nearly 4 years – the first year so much of that time was spent clearing garbage (it had been a hoarded up property, ugh!), and digging up the entire yard, which was nothing but weeds and buried trash. Neighbors can’t believe their eyes, that this is the same “problem home” that they’d called police about, that had an RV parked in the yard for the owner’s relatives to live in, trash everywhere, hoards of junk, and weeds as high as your waist.
I hope this Easter Show inspires you – art, music, and nature are God’s gifts to us all. Work becomes joy when we let go of all of the things that are not worthy, make peace with the things that no longer serve us, and instead lift our eyes upon Jesus. With everything that we do, we can only imagine what heaven will be like, and work toward that day with hope, even through tears, and when life is happy, embrace it. Love every minute! God bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, now and always. Happy Easter! xoxo
