Guitar Painting and Special Announcement

Excited about this guitar art project! This design is inspired by my OWN song this time!!! I’ve written a song called “Come to God’s Garden” (that’s my special announcement! I’ll be sharing my first song I’ve written myself! UPDATE: the song is posted here). The imagery for the guitar painting is from my own garden; it’s the things that are in bloom or in season right now.

The tiny frog is probably actually a tiny toad, but they look pretty much the same when they are freshly out of the tadpole stage. The toad won’t look warty and toad-like until later. The way to tell is how they lay their eggs in the pond, and these tadpoles came from a string of eggs laid like toads do, not in the pattern of how frogs lay their eggs. But we’ll see! Right now, there are many tiny frogs (or likely toads, but they look like frogs currently) trying to hop, they were just a couple days ago swimming around as tadpoles.

The flower in bloom that I painted is called “Angel Face” and it moves from a shade of lavender, to a purplish hue, to sort of a magenta. It is an unusual and beautiful lavender most of the time, and one of my favorite roses in the garden.

The grapes are from my oldest grapevine (I rescued it from a “left for dead” plant, I took it and nursed it back from the brink and now it’s thriving!), hanging right now outside the garden house, with many purple grapes ready to harvest. Yesterday I made grape jam from the first grapes of the season.

I feel close to God in the garden and I love to invite people into it. It feels like I’m sharing the love, peace, and healing that I have when I spend time in my garden, when someone comes into my nature space in person, but also when I share my garden in paintings, stores, photographs, videos and music. I will sing and play my song “Come to God’s Gardnen” soon, probably this coming week. I hope you like it!

Before I close, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all you dads out there! XOXO

Please subscribe to me here or on my YouTube Channel to follow my journey as I continue to learn how to play the guitar while also painting ON guitars. And, I can’t stop talking about my garden from time to time, there’s always something new happening!
