This art is included in the collection “50 Oil Paintings Inspired by Nature“. It was originally painted as an illustration for children’s book “Fred”. The inspiration for this art is a black and white photograph that Natalie’s father took of her in a tree at Grissom Air Force Base family (Indiana, United States) housing when he was stationed there. Natalie aged herself slightly to be closer to the age that she was in the story in the “Fred” book. In the original photograph, Natalie was a bit younger than this. Beyond that, the painting is fairly true to the photograph, besides being in color and made to appear somewhat cartoon like for children’s book illustration.
Enjoy Natalie’s art on fun, creative, and classy gifts for you and your family!
Tip Natalie to fund art supplies to reach her lifetime goal of 1,000 finished oil paintings, a series of live events, and surprising opportunities!
