Psalm 1: “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked but whose delight is in the law of the Lord. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”
We can go to spiritual trees and streams whenever we choose. An orchard promises us fruit of the spirit:
Galatians 5:22-23: “…love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Excerpt from the book “50 Oil Paintings Inspired by my Christian Faith”:
This painting took on a life of its own, as I painted while praying and listening to meaningful lyrics. In the end, it is different from the daytime or morning scene I thought I was painting, and I never intended to add a person. Now, the feeling is there... of being so lost in time, so peaceful in the orchard, by the stream, that evening is closing in. The sun is going down, and she's in no hurry to leave.
May you have this feeling today. Spend time doing something that makes you feel close to God.
May God bless and keep you. May His face shine upon you, and give you peace.
