“Statue of Liberty Struck by Lightning”

2 Minute Time-Lapse to watch Natalie paint

This painting was inspired by a real life weather event in which the Statue of Liberty in New York City was struck by lightning. This happened during a turbulent time in America and many found it to be an ominous sign. Or perhaps it was the opposite? Sometimes dark truth and judgement must come before healing.

“What the wicked dread will overtake them;
what the righteous desire will be granted.
When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone,
but the righteous stand firm forever.”
Proverbs 10:24-25

2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
