This oil painting was for a gallery exhibit called “Women and Water Rights”. Artist statement describes that this art was meant to depict how important clean water is, not only for women, but through women to their babies as well. Not only a third world problem, water quality affects American cities and suburbs, small towns and rural areas… farm run off, pesticides, opiates and other drugs in water supply, pollution and poisoning — severe issues that aren’t just “over there”, happening to someone else, but at home as well.
