Leos in Service oil painting by Natalie Buske Thomas

This oil painting was meant to be counter art to the art that depicted police as pigs – it was deliberately painted in the style of that painting, with major changes in the scene. The police are shown here as first responders, as kind and brave lions. The elements in the painting are meant to look similar to the “pig cop” art, to make it easy for people to make the comparison. Natalie felt that another side needed to be told. “Not all people are good, but not all people are bad. Painting all with the same brush is seldom wise. Pun intended.” ~ NBT
